Sized right so everything works
Undersized gas lines are a common problem — add a tankless heater or a high-BTU range to a line that's already feeding other appliances and nothing runs at full output. We calculate the demand of every appliance on the line and size the piping so each one gets what it needs, even when several are running at once.
Done right and leak-tested
Gas work is one place you don't cut corners. We use the correct materials and an accessible shutoff for each appliance, then pressure-test the system for leaks before anything is put into service. We work with both natural gas and propane setups common across Southwest Florida. Scope varies by the appliance and by what the local permit requires — we'll tell you up front what your hookup involves and what we can take on.
Relocations, repairs, and capping
Remodeling and the stove is moving? Converting from electric to gas? Removing an old gas appliance? We relocate and extend lines, repair leaking or corroded pipe, and safely cap lines that are no longer used so they're not a hazard down the road.
Smell gas? That's an emergency
If you smell gas — a rotten-egg odor — leave the area, avoid switches, flames, phones, and anything that could spark, and call the gas utility or 911 from outside. Once the immediate hazard is handled, Pipedex can repair or replace the affected appliance line and pressure-test the system before it is used again.
