Whether repair or replacement makes sense depends on the fixture, available parts, water condition, and damage. We inspect it and explain both options before work starts.
What a proper install actually involves
Good fixture work is more than tightening a nut. We shut off and verify the supply, clear out old corroded shutoff valves or supply lines when they're shot, set the new faucet with fresh seals, and check every connection for leaks before we leave. For sinks and vanities we confirm the drain assembly and trap line up cleanly so you don't trade a faucet leak for a cabinet leak. You see the price and approve it before any wrench turns.
Water, exposure, and compatibility
Fixture wear can involve water chemistry, sediment, use, cleaning products, installation, and exposure. We check the existing rough-in, shutoffs, supply lines, drain alignment, finish location, and manufacturer requirements. Water treatment is a separate decision that should follow a current utility report or suitable test rather than fixture wear alone.
